UP International Trade Show: Moradabad’s craftsmanship to adorn Greater Noida, brilliance of brass products and the impact of new talent to be showcased across 78 stalls

42 new exporters to take an international leap, young and women entrepreneurs to showcase their strength at 10 stalls

A blueprint has been prepared to provide the handicrafts, metal artware and local craftsmanship of the Brass City with direct access to new markets and buyers on the international stage. A total of 78 businesses from Moradabad district will register their strong presence at the fourth Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show to be held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Joint Commissioner Industries, Moradabad, Yogesh Kumar, stated that around 1.50 lakh business buyers and more than 4.50 lakh general consumers from across the country and abroad will participate in this mega event, which will be spread across an area of more than 1,10,000 square metres. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and through the State Government’s Export Promotion Policy, MSME Policy and the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme, this global platform will connect Moradabad’s products directly with international buyers and take local business to new heights.

According to the trade show layout, the most transformative change this year has emerged in the form of new exporters. In Hall No. 14 (New Exporters), earmarked for new businesses that will be exhibiting their products directly before foreign buyers for the first time, as many as 42 new exporters from Moradabad alone have secured their stalls.

According to the Joint Commissioner Industries, this participation indicates that the city’s younger generation is now prepared to become a direct part of the global supply chain rather than depending solely on intermediaries or large business houses. Alongside this, 14 major and established exporters from Moradabad in Hall No. 15 (Regular Exporters) will expand their existing contracts with foreign buyers and secure large-volume orders.

The trade show has also provided a distinct platform to grassroots artisans, small manufacturers and startups. For Moradabad’s world-renowned brass and metal craft, 12 stalls have been allocated in Hall No. 09 (ODOP Products), where traditional artisans will give live demonstrations of their carving and craftsmanship.

Meanwhile, 10 stalls from Moradabad have been booked in Hall No. 10 (MSME, Women and Young Entrepreneurs). This hall has been designated for modern technologies, innovative products and startups launched by women and young entrepreneurs. Thus, a total of 78 representatives from the city across all 4 categories (12 ODOP + 10 MSME/Women/Young Entrepreneurs + 42 New Exporters + 14 Regular Exporters) will leave their mark on the global platform.

Organised jointly by the State Government and India Exposition Mart Limited, this fourth edition is set to become the biggest event so far. Russia, Singapore, Vietnam and Austria are participating in the expo as ‘Partner Countries’. More than 2,400 exhibitors will participate in the event, showcasing not only handicrafts but also modern sectors such as ODOC (One District One Cuisine), defence, electronics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), textiles and renewable energy. The presence of international delegations and major corporate retailers from the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan and European countries will directly connect Moradabad’s businesses with multinational companies.

This international expo will provide significant benefits to Moradabad’s economic landscape. Direct engagement with foreign buyers and international retail chains will eliminate intermediary commissions, enabling everyone from factory owners to grassroots artisans to receive the full and fair value of their products. New export orders for the city’s small factories and foundry units will create fresh employment opportunities for thousands of artisans at the local level.

Joint Commissioner Industries Yogesh Kumar stated that extensive publicity is being carried out through industrial areas, trade organisations and Udyog Bandhu meetings to ensure maximum participation in this historic opportunity, so that every section of the city can connect with this global mega event through the official portal (upinternationaltradeshow.com).
