Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has repeatedly raised questions at his press conferences regarding women’s safety and the law-and-order situation under the Yogi government. Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Minister Sanjay Nishad has strongly responded to these allegations, saying that the manner in which Akhilesh Yadav has been continuously making statements through the media amounts to an insult to the people.

Sanjay Nishad said that people analyse every statement and allegation made by Akhilesh Yadav and compare them with the performance of the Yogi government and the record of the previous Samajwadi Party government. “People are wise; they know everything,” he said.

Akhilesh Wants Media to Bow Before Him

Minister Sanjay Nishad said the Samajwadi Party chief wanted the media to bow before him, but that was not possible in the present era. He also alleged that attacks were now being carried out through AI-generated videos. Sanjay Nishad said, “AI will not cast votes in the election, the people will. People needed a leader who remained directly connected with them rather than one who attempted to mislead them.

*Babasaheb’s statues vandalised during previous government*

Sanjay Nishad also targeted Akhilesh Yadav over issues concerning Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He alleged that during the previous government, statues of Babasaheb were vandalised and reservation in promotions was discontinued. Members of the Dalit community were raising questions on these issues and he should answer them.

Allegation of Injustice to the Nishad Community

The minister alleged that the Nishad community faced injustice during Akhilesh Yadav’s tenure. Sanjay Nishad specifically questioned Akhilesh Yadav over the issue of reservation for the Nishad community and said that members of the community were seeking answers on the matter.

SP Rule Marked by Riots and Curfews

Sanjay Nishad also questioned the law-and-order record of the Samajwadi Party government. He alleged that riots were frequent during that period, curfews were imposed regularly and PAC personnel had to be deployed. Sanjay Nishad said that during that period, festivals were celebrated in an atmosphere of fear, whereas under the Yogi government, they are being celebrated with traditional values and in a peaceful environment.

Criticism Over Employment and Language Used by SP Leaders

Sanjay Nishad said the Yogi government had worked to provide employment opportunities to people in different sectors. He said the public applauds the government’s work, while alleging that the Samajwadi Party had produced leaders who use abusive language and had given space within the party to people from different communities who resort to such language.
