CM Yogi warns that Congress risks losing even its remaining public support through anarchic and unconstitutional acts
Gorakhpur, October 12, 2026
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the Congress, alleging that the party and the INDIA alliance have been continuously creating disorder in the national capital, Delhi, over the past several days. He said their actions were not only inconveniencing ordinary citizens but also represented a deliberate attempt to create chaos and question the credibility of the country’s constitutional institutions.
He added that Congress and its alliance partners had completely lost their credibility due to an identity crisis and what he described as corrupt intentions. The public, he said, was closely observing their conduct, which he termed non-political and irresponsible.
When They Win, It Is Their Achievement; When They Lose, EVMs Are Blamed
Speaking to electronic media representatives, CM Yogi said it was surprising that Congress considered electoral victories a result of its own efforts but blamed Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and the Election Commission when it lost.
He alleged that whenever courts delivered judgments based on merit, Congress attempted to question the judiciary’s credibility. He also accused the party of issuing threats and targeting various constitutional institutions through abusive language and disruptive conduct, describing such behaviour as a recurring feature of its politics.
Congress Leaders Should Change Their Leadership
The Chief Minister said Congress leaders should reflect on why voters repeatedly reject their party. He pointed out that Congress had been unable to return to power in Uttar Pradesh since 1985, adding that the people of the state had rejected the party 41 years ago.
He further said that Congress had lost public support in several other states as well. The party’s leaders, he suggested, should replace leadership that he described as ineffective, corrupt and lacking public trust.
CM Yogi urged Congress not to create an atmosphere of anarchy in the country or make what he termed malicious attempts to undermine constitutional institutions.
People Will Not Accept Anarchy
CM Yogi said India’s citizens were politically aware and would not accept such disorder indefinitely. He warned that if Congress and its alliance partners did not stop their alleged unconstitutional and undemocratic activities, they could lose even the public support they had left.
Stop Misleading Young People
The Chief Minister urged Congress to refrain from creating disorder and misleading citizens, particularly young people. He called on the party to participate in a healthy democratic process by discussing substantive issues and engaging in constructive debate based on merit.
He said such an approach would serve the interests of both Indian democracy and the people of the country.
