‘Akhilesh Wants to Trigger Riots in Western UP Again Like in 2013’: Sangeet Som Targets SP
BJP leader Sangeet Som has launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi over the action taken against an allegedly illegal mosque structure built on government land in Saharanpur.
Sangeet Som said that the media and the opposition must understand that no mosque was demolished in Saharanpur. Instead, he claimed that an illegal structure built on illegally occupied land was removed following due legal procedure.
Som also claimed that a nearly 400-year-old well was found beneath the structure during the action. He said that any construction built on illegally occupied land or through encroachment in Uttar Pradesh will face action. He stressed that there is no question of targeting any particular religion.
‘Opposition Leaders Are Competing to Become the Biggest Leader of Muslims’
The BJP leader targeted Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi and Asaduddin Owaisi, saying that there is currently a competition in Uttar Pradesh over who will become the biggest leader of Muslims.
He alleged that because of this political competition, an attempt is being made to give a religious colour to the action taken in Saharanpur.
Sangeet Som also attacked Owaisi and questioned his claims regarding old documents and electricity bills. He said that if electricity facilities were not available in Saharanpur in 1911, then where did an electricity bill from that period come from?
Som described this as an example of alleged forgery and said that leaders like Owaisi are trying to mislead people through such claims.
‘Action Taken on Court Orders, So Why the Uproar?’
Sangeet Som said that the action against the structure was carried out following a court order. He questioned why the opposition was creating a controversy over the matter when the action had been taken on the basis of a court directive.
He said that Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi and Owaisi all carry the Constitution with them, but whenever action is taken in accordance with a court order, they start trying to give it a religious colour.
Targeting the three leaders, Som said that this politics is not about protecting the Constitution and the law but about pursuing vote-bank politics.

‘Akhilesh Wants to Trigger Riots in Western UP Again’
Sangeet Som alleged that opposition leaders are attempting to disturb the atmosphere in western Uttar Pradesh by using the Saharanpur issue.
Targeting Akhilesh Yadav, he referred to the 2013 riots and alleged that another attempt is now being made to create tension in western Uttar Pradesh.
He said that as long as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are in power, no one will be allowed to incite riots or challenge law and order in Uttar Pradesh.
Som said that if Akhilesh Yadav attempts to disturb the atmosphere through his supporters, it will not be tolerated.
‘Akhilesh, Owaisi and Rahul Are Behind the Ruin of Muslims’
Sangeet Som said, “The three people responsible for the ruin of Muslims are Akhilesh, Owaisi and Rahul Gandhi.”
He alleged that the opposition is deliberately trying to create a narrative that the Muslim community is being targeted, whereas, according to him, the actual target of the action is illegal occupation and the land mafia—not any religion.
He further alleged that for years, some people used Muslims for their own political and personal gains, got them involved in encroachments and filled their own pockets.
In his concluding remarks, Sangeet Som again attacked Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi and Owaisi, alleging that the three leaders have deceived the Muslim community the most and are still attempting to put Uttar Pradesh’s peace and law-and-order situation at risk for political gains.
He said that Uttar Pradesh is moving towards becoming an “Uttam Pradesh” and that no one will be allowed to stop this journey by creating anarchy.
